Healthwatch Lambeth have conducted an number of engagement events for local people to contribute to shaping neighbourhood health services in Lambeth. These have included workshops, a survey, focus groups and one to one interviews.

Responses will help further shape neighbourhood health services in the borough and will be used especially to guide the development of integrated neighbourhood teams (or INTs) – a key focus of the work of Lambeth Together, and a priority in the 10 Year Health Plan for England.

What are Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs)?

INTs bring together professionals from health, social care and voluntary services to work as one team to support people in their local area—helping them stay well, live independently, and avoid unnecessary hospital visits.

These teams will start by focusing on support for people with multiple long term health conditions, older and frail people, children with complex health needs, and people who need support with their mental health.

Why your views matter

Healthwatch Lambeth is looking for more detailed feedback — especially from people with lived experience in these areas.

What’s happened so far?

In July 2025, Healthwatch Lambeth ran two large group workshops to get a wider view of neighbourhoods and people’s thoughts about neighbourhood health services and their focus and ways of working.

A survey was open between October 2025 and January 2026 to gather further detailed feedback to feed into shaping of services and responses were especially welcomed from people with experience of:

  1. Children and young people with complex needs - this could include those with long-term health conditions, mental and emotional needs, neurodiversity, behavioural needs and social or economic challenges within the family
  2. People with three or more long-term health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease
  3. People who are frail - this could include slow walking pace, difficulty recovering from illness, low energy or weakness, or falls and other challenges that risk hospital admission. Frailty can occur at any age
  4. People who need support for their mental health - including depression, anxiety or trauma

Healthwatch also ran focus group discussions and to carried out one-to-one interviews with people who have lived experience to gather deeper insights.

The final report and recommendations from Healthwatch will be added to this page when available.
