Our south neighbourhood in Greenwich covers Eltham, Horn Park, Mottingham and Shooters Hill areas.

Partners in the Healthier Greenwich Partnership are working together to support the community and help people live happier and healthier lives.

We're listening to concerns and needs, and supporting people to develop their local community to meet their needs.

We're keen to work even closer with people in this neighbourhood.

This page will be updated as we develop our approach, but you can read about the journey so far and what local people have shared and developed.

Supporting people in Horn Park

Horn Park is unique in its strong stakeholder-led approach, with an emphasis on fostering community cohesion and active participation.

A multi-agency steering group, made up of partners from across health and social care, meets monthly to support the evolving needs of the neighbourhood.

Together, they have developed a strategic engagement plan aimed at improving resident involvement and health outcomes across the area. This plan includes identifying local assets, prioritising quick wins, and exploring how to make the best use of available resources to support the community effectively.

Horn Park Residents' Association

The Horn Park Residents' Association is in the early stages of development and ongoing work will explore how it evolves over the coming months.

We are supporting a resident led coffee morning, which we hope will serve as a welcoming space to bring people together, build connections and strengthen the sense of community.

The group was formed in November 2024 and is focusing on the following key priorities identified by residents:

  • Coffee mornings
  • Healthy walks
  • Community events
  • Community meeting space
  • Environmental improvements
  • Health services
  • Transport issues
  • Building a strong community voice

A newsletter has been developed by the Horn Park Resident’s Association.

Community Voting Day – 5 July 2025

On Saturday 5 July, communities in three areas of the borough took part in their own Community Voting Day to vote for the projects they want to see funded to help improve the health and wellbeing in their area. This event followed the participatory budgeting model, a democratic process that allows community members to decide how public funds are spent directly.

Community leaders set the priorities for the funding that included: social and community connection, physical activity, mental health and wellbeing, built environment, raise awareness or improve access to local support and services, and food. Projects could bid for up from £250 to £1,000.

In Horn Park in total, 18 applications were received, and the community selected 10 projects to be delivered in the community over the coming year.
