Are you passionate about improving and developing maternity and neonatal care services in Bromley for women and their families? Would you like to lead the Bromley/PRUH Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP)?

In Bromley, as part of NHS South East London Integrated Care Board, we are seeking people to lead the Bromley/PRUH Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP).

These are voluntary roles covering a one-year term, with potential to extend beyond this. The role offers flexible hours, to best suit the postholder, and to tailor best to working with service users, along with some limited meeting commitments with NHS and healthcare organisations. As a guide, the expected time commitment will be around 3-4 days per month for the role. MNVP Leads receive renumeration for expenses in line with the NHS England guidance for volunteers.

Making a difference

This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for women and families, working directly with service users and acting as a conduit to feedback to maternity and neonatal care professionals in order to make maternity services as good as they can be. MNVPs are vitally important in ensuring that all service users’ voices are listened to. MNVPs have already made a big difference in improving maternity care for many women and their families.

As an MNVP Lead, you will play a central role in ensuring that the voice of maternity and neonatal service users is heard in discussions with maternity and neonatal care services and those who commission (pay for or fund) these services. The successful individuals will be a point of contact for local service users and will ensure that their views are heard. They will chair the regular Bromley MNVP meeting and any sub-meetings. They will lead a range of service user engagement activities across their area. They will also work with other MNVP leads in South East London, as part of the Local Maternity & Neonatal System (LMNS).

The role requires good communication and engagement skills, and a desire to represent the diverse views and needs of service users from across 2 Bromley. The successful candidate will have experience of using maternity and/or neonatal services directly or indirectly, and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for improvements in maternity and neonatal care.

If you are successful, you will be provided with an induction and training package to support you in your role.

How to apply

To apply, please read the role description carefully and complete the expression of interest form, setting out your responses to the questions on that form.

If you are shortlisted, you will be contacted for an interview.

In addition to renumeration for your involvement, travel expenses will be reimbursed where necessary. Payment will be made via NHS South East London ICB to the MNVP Leads, in line with NHS England’s Public and Patient Voice Partners Policy.

Applications for this role must be received by Monday 8 September 2025. Interviews are expected to take place later in September.
