We wanted to know what local people think about the recently opened health and wellbeing service at The Source.
Evaluation completed
Read The Source Evaluation Report
The evaluation of the pilot of the new service model at The Source at 65 Sibthorpe Road in Horn Park is now complete. We would like to thank everyone who took part by completing the survey or being interviewed by our researchers. Your views were incredibly helpful and have helped to inform decisions about the future services that will be provided at The Source.
We commissioned an independent research company to capture the voice of the local population in Horn Park and are now responding to what we heard. The Source is valued by Horn Park residents, however use of the services has been relatively low during the six month pilot period. The evaluation research identified a number of possible reasons for this including the range of services, the days and time that they are provided, and awareness of the services amongst residents.
In response to this we intend to maintain and further develop the high levels of community engagement around The Source to enable us to work well with a range of people, including residents, voluntary, public and private sector service providers to design and test a number of different services that better meet the needs and wants of residents of Horn Park. This will take some time as we build these wide-ranging local relationships and test and modify service options together.
In the interim the current services will continue to be provided at The Source with some minor changes potentially happening sooner. For example we are reviewing the days and times that The Source is open as a direct response to the feedback in the evaluation.
Next steps
The Campaign Company will be contacting everyone who contributed to the evaluation to provide an update and request their permission to share their contact details with us so we can keep them informed and involved.
We are planning a follow up meeting with people from the Horn Park community to update them and think through how we can work together to continue to develop the service offer at The Source. If you would like to be involved in this please email abu.siddiki@selondonics.nhs.uk
