The King's Health Partners Diabetes, Endocrinology and Obesity Academy (KHP DEO) is seeking a Lived Experience Partner to help shape the governance and strategic direction of its new education and training programme. This 12‑month role (minimum) involves online meetings every 2-3 months, plus 1-2 hours of reading or correspondence between sessions.

Ideal candidates will bring personal experience of diabetes, obesity, or an endocrine condition, alongside professional insight in at least one area such as adult education, healthcare delivery, commercial or branding strategy, or industry partnership working. Applicants should be confident in constructively challenging assumptions, shaping decision‑making, and ensuring lived experience meaningfully informs the Academy’s development.

The role is remunerated (£15/hr in vouchers) according to the KHP policy, and candidates must be available for the first meeting on 30 March (2 - 3.30 pm) or 31 March (3 - 4.30 pm). To apply, please submit a brief cover letter or a short (less than 3 minute) video to deo@kcl.ac.uk by 5 March 2026.
