Many people get prescriptions they do not need. Medicine waste is costly to the NHS and alsoadds to medicine shortages.
Repeat prescriptions make up 75% of all NHS prescriptions.Insight from a previous engagement exercise suggested that some people feel they must keep ordering medicine, even if they do not need it.
How you can get involved
We’re looking for people aged 60 to 79 who are on 2 or more repeat prescriptions or if you look after/care for someone that age. We need your help to shape an advertising campaign to reduce medicine waste. We plan on using resources from a recentcampaign in Dorset that worked well.We know south east London is different to Dorset, so we want to test out the messages with you.
